The Saga of Basil and his cat food

Basil won’t his his Purina One kitten formula.

This was alarming at first but then we realized he’s been sneaking into the cabinet above the fridge and tearing into bags of cat treats. Everyday when we’re not around he’s feasting on stolen treats. We tried tying the cabinet shut but he’s tiny and his bones are soft so he wedged himself in there and got the treats.

Last night we took all the treats and mixed them in with his kitten food in order to a) entice him to eat his food and b) get rid of all the cat treats. Clearly we can’t have treats around anymore but that’s fine because I doubt Basil will ever deserve another treat in his life.

EDIT: Basil wins. This morning he sat at his food dish filled with Purina One kitten formula because he ate out all the treats and cried at me. My heart can’t stand his pitiful little cries and if he really hates that stuff then he shouldn’t have to eat it. Back to Meow Mix it is.

Friendsgiving was easily one of my favorite nights in Urbana ever. surawesome: This was just the first wave of food during Friendsgiving. There were three other waves of food, which means three times the gorging.
